DMK Precision spot welding
Product Description
A laser spot welding machine uses high-energy laser pulses to locally heat materials in a small area. The energy from the laser radiation diffuses into the material through thermal conduction, melting the material to form a specific molten pool. It belongs to fusion welding, utilizing a laser beam as the energy source that impinges on the joint of the workpieces.
The laser beam can be guided by planar optical components (such as mirrors) and then projected onto the weld seam using reflective focusing elements or lenses. Laser welding machines are non-contact welding equipment—no pressure is required during operation, but inert gas must be used to prevent oxidation of the molten pool, and filler metal is occasionally employed.
