Main Functions of Relfar Dual-Swing 5-in-1 Laser Welding Head

The FWH30-DS10E handheld laser welding head is fitted with different functional components. It supports multiple functions such as laser rust removal, weld seam cleaning, handheld laser cutting, laser wire-feeding welding, laser pulse spot welding and lithium battery pack welding, realizing one machine for multiple applications.

Functional components

FWH30-DS10E Applications in Lithium Battery, Tube-Sheet and Sheet Metal Welding

  1. Main industries for lithium battery welding: new energy vehicle maintenance, and battery pack assembly.
  2. Weldable product types: Pouch cells, prismatic cells, cylindrical cells, prismatic stud batteries, etc.
  3. Compared with traditional lithium battery welding and traditional stiffener welding, the 5-in-1 laser welding features faster welding speed, higher efficiency, good welding uniformity, firm weld strength and easy operation.
  4.  Lithium battery welding model selection guideline: Battery connecting tabs are mostly copper-aluminum composite sheets or copper-nickel composite sheets. For thickness within 2mm: 1500W laser is recommended; For thickness 2–3mm: 2000W laser is recommended.
  5. Stiffener welding selection guideline: - Thickness less than 1.0mm: pulse spot welding is recommended. - 1.0+1.0mm to 1.5+1.5mm: 1500W laser is recommended. - Over 1.5mm (e.g. 2.0+2.0mm to 2.5+2.5mm): 2000W laser is recommended. - For 3mm thickness: adopt energy storage module to enlarge the welding spot size.
